Bravo (2)During the last episode of Southern hospitality, Maddie Reese revealed that rumors of Joe Bradleythe sexuality of delayed the beginning of their relationship – and TJ Dinch was guilty.
“Three or four years ago, TJ spread a bunch of rumors that I was gay,” Joe said newbie Austin Stephan on the Thursday, January 9, episode of the Bravo show.
Austin wasn’t surprised by the revelation, telling Joe that TJ was “telling me the same thing…He’d just tell me you’re gay.
Maddie, who is currently dating Joe, admitted that the stories around town are making her hesitant to act on her feelings for him.
“Three years ago, everyone was talking about the rumours,” Maddy recalls. “So of course I kind of believed TJ when he told me that Joe was flirtatious, or fruity, or what’s the word? gay.
She admitted: “That was the reason I didn’t contact Joe for a long time.”
Maddie said that since she started dating Joe, she can confirm that the rumors are not true. “Apparently I slept with Joe. I slept with Joe. He likes n-, she declared.
Joe, for his part, said he confronted TJ when he heard the rumors, but TJ flatly denied that he started them.
“I said, ‘Why the hell would you say that to people?’ And he said, ‘No, I would never say that. I would never say that to anyone. I promise you I didn’t do it,” Joe told the cameras, admitting: “Because I’m a very gullible person, I believed it. And now I’m paying for it.
Joe claims that his one-time best friend “leads you to believe you can trust him and then he’s going to screw you up.”
In addition to allegedly spreading rumors about his sexuality, Joe took issue with TJ telling people he’s been hooking up with Luan de Lesseps in January 2024 when he said he told him the truth in confidence.
“Then it hit me. TJ is the one telling people I’m gay,” Joe said during Thursday’s episode. “For he is the mouth of the South.”

Paul Chaney/Bravous broke the news in January 2024 that Joe and Luann, 59. were spotted getting cozy in a hotel in New York after they met while participating in Watch what’s happening live with Andy Cohen.
In season 2 Southern hospitality reunion next month, TJ told the host Andy Cohen he was “99 percent” sure that Joe and Luann had connected. Joe denied the allegations.
TJ revealed during the season 3 premiere, which aired on January 2that he hadn’t spoken to Joe in months after their date drama.
However, TJ remained adamant that not only did Joe kiss Luann, but “cheated” on his then girlfriend, Daniel Oliverawith The Real Housewives of New York alum. (Danielle, 36, confirmed this to her and Joe are separating in February 2024.)

Joe was a little tight-lipped about exactly what happened to Luann during the Season 3 premiere, but he did confirm to us in December 2024 that he “kissed” her. He claims he’s not trying to hide anything, but he’s still upset with TJ for breaking his trust.
Those trust issues have been in the spotlight so far this season — especially since Maddie is still friends with TJ, which Joe admitted worries him. (Joe and Maddie exclusively said us that they have been dating since April 2024which is right around the time the cameras came back.)
“It also pissed me off that you were being so friendly with him,” Jo told Maddie during the new episode, referring to her conversation with TJ at a group party a week ago.
However, Maddie claims that her friendship with TJ should not affect her relationship with Joe.

Brian Steffy/Bravo“You can be friends with someone and have boundaries,” she told her friend. “You know you can’t trust (TJ) to your grave, obviously you know that, but there’s no reason he can’t be your friend.”
Joe claimed, “Me and TJ’s issues are much deeper.” Maddie pointed out that they’re not “addressing the elephant in the room.”
Fans will continue to see Joe and TJ’s drama unfold with each new episode. In fact, Joe exclusively said us before the season that TJ’s “attitude” would “make a lot more sense once you watch it.”
He teased me: “Some people think he has feelings for me, (but) I think that’s in the past, but who knows? This season, every single species will find out the true colors of TJ and why he treats me like this.”
