Snoop Doggthe daughter Corey Broaduswas open about her feelings about her body while shopping for a wedding dress for her upcoming nuptials to Wayne Duce.
“I really love the idea of getting married, but being the center of attention is kind of scary,” Corey, 25, said in a confessional during the new E! documentaries, Snoop’s Fatherhood: The Corey and Wayne Storywhich aired on Thursday, December 5. “I wear baggy clothes because I’m not the most confident in my natural body.”
Cory entered the fitting room wearing a white dress with a thigh-high slit, which featured a tight bodice and a long train. The train of the dress could be removed, revealing a tighter second look.
While her friends were enjoying her bridal look, Cory didn’t crack a smile. “It just wasn’t what I really wanted,” Corey explained in a confessional.
Back on set, Corey explained that he doesn’t “like” his body. “I hate my body,” she said. “Do you see how I dress every day? I wear big clothes so people can’t see how natural I look.”
Corey noted in a confessional that he sometimes feels like an “outcast.” Corrie, who has been open about her lupus diagnosis, added: ‘I’m the bigger friend. I am the chocolate friend. I am the sick friend.”
“It reminded me that, well, that’s why I don’t go shopping and that’s why I dress the way I do, because I don’t like how I feel when I dress,” she continued.
As she wiped tears from her eyes at the edit, Corey told her friends she was just “having a moment.” She explained: “I just don’t like how my body looks in this.”
Corrie, who accepted a proposal from Wayne in November 2022, continued to get excited as she looked in the mirror.
“My dress doesn’t make me feel confident or sexy,” she said in a confessional. “I think what probably makes me feel that way is that all my friends are small. I’m on the heavier side.”
She added: “The truth is I struggle with myself every day. It’s so weird to me that Wayne got down on one knee and sometimes I’m like, “Why?” Like, “Why do you love me so much? What do you see? I think trying on the dress kind of brought me back to that place.
Things changed when her friends hugged her and praised her for being “so beautiful” – and Corrie started to smile.
As the couple count down to their nuptials, Corey and Wayne were seen checking things off their wedding to-do list. (The couple’s wedding plans fell through in January after she suffered a stroke. From a health scare, she recovers with Wayne’s help.)
Before going dress shopping with her friends, Corey talked about her previous battle with mental health as they discuss the origins of her and Wayne’s cosmetics company, Choc Factory.
Wayne explained that the two started the company during COVID-19 to get them “out of (a) dark place, especially Corey.” Corrie, for her part, explained that she’s “always been depressed” since she was a “little girl.”

“I was always (like), ‘Why me?'” Corey explained in the confessional. “It’s just that I was young and had Lupus, it was difficult. Constantly going to doctors, drinking a bunch of medicine. So after COVID hit, I was just in a dark, deep space. I was in a mental hospital because I tried to kill myself in, I think, 2021.’
As she navigates her mental health, Corey gushed that she’s “so lucky” to have Wayne by her side.
“But still, we all go through something. It will be OK. And that comes with time,” she said. “I feel like when we’re in a certain space or place, it feels like the end of the world.”
Corey explained that the idea for Choc Factory came from a difficult time in her life. “I was like, ‘Okay, girl, you’ve got to get out of this thing.’ So I looked online, like hobbies, right? And then the lip gloss industry came along,” she said. “I thought, ‘Oh, I love a lip gloss moment.’ I’m like, ‘This is going to be bomb. Let’s do it.
