Skye Blakely returns to competition after recovering from Achilles’ tear

Skye Blakely’s 2024 started in an incredible note and the young man was a strong favorite for the Paris Olympics group. However, the tragedy hit the US Olympic tests, as gymnastics injured Achilles during the podium training, then removing competition and lost the Olympics.

Now, more than six months after Achilles’ rupture, Blakely returned to competition, representing the Florida Gators in NCAA. Taking on Instagram, the young man celebrated her return, writing,

“199 days after my Achilles’ rupture. I was able to make my NCAA debut as a Gator! So extremely blessed and grateful for God to allow me to experience at the moment. This recovery had many tears, a lot of hard Work, my parents, my teammates, my coaches, the medical personnel and all the Gator staff helped me to get to the way, I am still on the road to the full recovery and only here. “

With her debut with the Gators, Skye Blakely competed only in the heterogeneous bar, scoring 9,725. As the season continues to unfold, the fans will undoubtedly be excited to see once again in action.
