“If you look at the magnets that people attract to America, the citizenship of birthright is one of the greatest,” said Graham. “I also appreciate the executive order of President Trump to tackle the citizenship of birthright. It is time for the United States to align itself with the rest of the world and to limit this practice once and for all.”
Currently, the standard practice in the US is to automatically give citizenship to all children born on American soil.
