Senate DEMS are confronted with a recoil after Trans athlete Bill fails to break filibuster


Senate Democrats were confronted on Monday Break the filibuster.

Republicans needed 60 votes, but only received 51. No Democrats chose the Republicans for the bill. Two Democrats were absent in the mood, just like two Republicans. The bill failed, 51-45.

The protection of women and girls in the Sports Act would require Title IX Treating gender as “only recognized on the basis of the reproductive biology and genetics of a person at birth” and would not allow any adjustment to apply to gender identity.

The bill was Introduced by Senator Tommy TubervilleR-Ala., And has more than 40 co-sponsors in the Senate. It would also codify one of the many recent executive orders of Trump, making the policy a better lifespan.

House speaker Rep. Mike Johnson, R-La., And activists who fought for fairness in the sport of women and girls belonged to those who tore Senate Democrats because of the lack of support for the bill. Two house dems voted in January for the bill.

“That is shocking. I cannot believe that the Democrats do not come along with common sense and the protection of women and girls,” Johnson told Fox News.

Riley Gaines, Jennifer Sey and others weighed on social media.

President Donald Trump Last month an executive order issued to prohibit biological men to compete with sports and girls sports. The order would withhold federal financing from states that continue to have transgender recording in the sport of women and girls.
