The Top House Democrat was immediately asked to Schumer during a hastily announced press conference to emphasize Their opposition against Republicans’ Government Financing Act.
Early during the press conference, Jeffries was asked if it was time for new leadership in the Senate, to which he answered: “Next question”.
Jeffries gave the same exactly answer when he was later asked if he “had lost confidence” in Schumer.

Many say it is a large public gap between the two best Democrats in the congress. The silence of Jeffries on his colleague New York Liberal comes when other Democratic legislators focus their anger on Schumer because he announces that he will vote with Republicans to avert a partial one Government closure.
Jeffries later pushed back emphatically when Fox News wondered if he “was afraid of saying something about Schumer.”
“Don’t characterize my comments. I’m not afraid of anything,” said Jeffries.
When he was pressed again, he said: “Do you think this is what the American people are getting around now? Or do they want us to do everything we can do to stop this part -time and harmful Republican account to actually become a law? Because what we as Huisdemocrats are focused on now.”

Jeffries avoided Schumer’s mentioning during his press conference, but reporters pressed him with questions about the growing gap between him and the senior democrat.
He did not answer immediately when he was asked if Schumer “agreed” President Donald TrumpJust indicate that the mood had not yet taken place.
“That is a question that is best tackled by the Senate. The mood has not yet taken place and the democratic position of the house is very clear. We strongly oppose all the efforts to reduce the health care of the American people, veteran benefits and nutritional aid, all of which are in the partial Republican account,” Jeffries said.
Democrats are in a historical level of disorder about a Republican bill to prevent a government closure supported by Trump.
Progressives have attacked Schumer because he announced that he would not block the bill, but whether Republicans could find sufficient democratic support to achieve the necessary threshold of 60 votes is still unclear.
The bill brought the house last week with the support of just one house democrat rep. Jared Golden, D-Maine.
The house and the Senate must send a bill to the Trump office at midnight to prevent a partial closure of the government.
