“Sabrina and Barry have broken up,” a source exclusively says us. “They had a little break a few months ago, but that break was very recent.”
The insider adds that the two’s friends don’t believe “they’re going to get back together.”
people was the first to report that Carpenter, 25, and Keoghan, 32, had split after dating for almost a year.

Carpenter and Keoghan were first linked in December 2023. The pair continued to fuel romance rumors as they attended several of the same public events, including the Grammys afterparty in February and the Vanity Fair Oscars party in March. us confirmed in March that Carpenter and Keoghan make things official earlier that year.
“They really took it slow at first, but the relationship is going strong,” a source exclusively said us at that time. “They are both very easy going people and like to be low key in their downtime. They don’t put too much pressure on things and Sabrina likes that Barry understands that she’s extremely busy with her work commitments at the moment.”

Keoghan and Carpenter did their thing red carpet debut as a couple in May at the Met Gala. While walking alone, the two posed for pictures together atop the event’s iconic stairs.
The following month, Keoghan made a cameo in Carpenter’s “Please Please Please” music video.. The duo play love interests who bond while in prison.
“I liked the idea of falling in love with a convict and being shocked and embarrassed every time he commits a crime,” the singer said of working with her friend in a June interview with Vogue. “I was very lucky to get Barry Keoghan in the video because he is just magic on screen.”
When it was revealed last month that Carpenter had earned seven Grammy nominations – including best new artist, album of the year and song of the year – Keoghan erupted how “proud” he was of her and all she has achieved so far.
“I don’t know anybody that works that hard, you know?” the actor said during an appearance on SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show with Julia Cunningham. “I’m in awe of her watching her work and her (commitment) and the standards she sets, especially when I’m in that (‘Please, Please, Please’) music video. She knows the vision, she knows what she wants.”
