Cricket fans tend to collect a memento of their favorite player wherever they can. Fans in South Africa are no different from this trend as was seen on Day 3 of the 2nd Test between South Africa and Pakistan. South Africa’s young batter Tristan Stubbs found himself in the middle of an added responsibility.
Tristan Stubbs faces a sea of collectibles for autographs
The 24-year-old came to the boundary line as a player but found himself in the middle of the items the crowd had collected for the South African players to sign. Stubbs felt the need to fulfill the wishes of Proteas fans and a range of items like balls, cricket bats, stumps, jerseys, caps among others to autograph. However, Stubbs could not keep track of every item as the game was underway with the openers Babar Azam and Shan Masood in the crease.

Pakistan’s heroic stand to save the Test
Pakistan were in a gloomy state at the start of the match with South Africa adding a mammoth 615 runs in their first innings with a double century from Ryan Rickelton and a ton from the captain Temba Bavuma and Kyle Verreynne. In reply, Pakistan were bowled out in their first innings for 194 runs forcing a follow-on.
Pakistan were desperate to score runs on the board to save the Test match, and the openers started the second innings well. Skipper Masood provided stability to the Pakistani wickets for a long time and created a heroic stand in front of the South African pacers. Masood scored 145 runs off 251 balls before You are the cats he took his wicket in the 84th over of the innings. Mohammed Rizwan and Salman Agha they are currently at the crease for Pakistan trying to overcome South Africa’s first innings total and somehow salvage the Test match.
