Rogers greet Bellingham for positive effect after England’s call

Aston Villa’s rising star, Morgan Rogers, talked about how Jude Bellingham in the England team made his transition to international football much easier.

Rogers, who received his first call to the England team in November 2024, believed Bellingham’s presence as an important factor to help him feel comfortable.

The two players share roots in Birmingham and their pre -existing friendship provided a sense of familiarity as Rogers adapted to life in the installation of the national team.

His impressive performances for Aston Villa won the opportunity, with then -England director Lee Carsley choosing him for the team.

Both Rogers and Bellingham are considered among the brightest young talents in England, having appeared in the first matches of Thomas Tuchel responsible for the national team.

The transition to international football can be frightening, but for Rogers, having Bellingham around it made the experience much more user -friendly.

Reflecting his integration into the group, Rogers said GOAL: “It may not be as scary as you think, even though you might think it’s when you go there.

“It is usually never so bad. So yes. It was very nice (to deal with England), obviously the one who was very nice (helping Rogers to settle) was probably Jude to be there, obviously playing against him and what not and playing with him in previous age groups.

“It’s nice to have someone I already knew. Someone you can bounce. You already know and that you can be comfortable.

“So, yes, it’s nice to have, but to be fair, because the team is so young. You know many of them, or even if you don’t know them personally, you played against them, so they are easy starters and an easy way to talk to people and get to know them.”

As the season evolves, both Rogers and Bellingham will aim to play key roles for their respective clubs. Rogers, who has become a key player for Aston Villa under Unai Emery, will hope to influence success in the FA Cup and the Champions League.

Meanwhile, Bellingham continues to shine for Real Madrid, with the side of Carlo Ancelotti in a dispute over La Liga, the Champions League and the Copa del Rey Treble.

With the two players who make their signal at a club and international level, the future looks bright for these stars born in Birmingham.
