The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 53, gave an update on the various lawsuits she faces after her estranged husband was accused of embezzlement of millions of dollars from clients at his Girardi Keese law firm to fund their lavish lifestyles.
“It will be four years in two weeks since I left home and everything happened. In these four years, I’ve been able to accept a lot of things, heal from a lot of things, and I will continue to do so,” Erica said in RHOBH After Show on Wednesday, December 17.
However, according to Erica, she is still facing legal problems four years later.
“I’m not completely out of the woods. I am still being sued in many places, but these things will be resolved,” she said. “It is what it is. I’m just trying to maintain as healthy an attitude as possible going forward.
Girardi’s legal woes became public in November 2020 after Erica filed for divorce after 21 years of marriage. In August, Girardi, 85, was discovered guilty for misappropriating “tens of millions of dollars” from customers. Prosecutors are seeking 14 years in prison for Girardi. His sentencing hearing is due to take place on Friday, December 20.
