First on Fox: A group of Republican legislators gives the heat on the president Donald Trump To recognize the West Bank as Israeli territory after the president had suggested that he was being investigated for such a change.
A new letter to Trump, led by Rep. Claudia Tenney, RN.Y., framed the loaded area, occupied by both Palestinians and Israelis, and the heart of the US and Israel’s ‘shared Jewish-Christian heritage’.
“This region is the heart of our shared Jewish-Christian heritage and recognition of Israel’s right to explain sovereignty across this region would build on your earlier recognition of the importance of this heritage,” the letter is.
“In anticipation of a potential policy announcement with regard to Judea and Samaria in the coming weeks, we want to give our strong support to recognizing Israel’s right to explain sovereignty about this historical and Biblical important region. Recognition of every hostile Arab state In Judea and Samaria that supports terrorism and does not recognize Israel. “

The letter also welcomes Trump for lifting sanctions against Israeli settlers on the West Bank, imposed under the BIDEN administration.
The order was intended to punish Israeli settlers accused of violence against Palestinians on the West Bank after the Hamas attacks of 7 October.
Five other members of the Friends of Judea and Samaria Caucus signed with the letter: Reps. Mary Miller, R-Oill., Randy Weber, R-Texas, Andy Harris, R-MD., Barry Moore, R-Ala., And Nick Lalota, Rn.y.
Trump teased a new announcement about the West Bank policy earlier this month.

“We discuss that with many of your representatives,” he said. “People like the idea, but we have not yet taken a position about it. But we will make an announcement about that very specific subject in the coming four weeks.”
Trump is expected to have a much more tolerant picture of the Israeli expansion of the West Bank than the Biden administration. During his first administration, he returned the long -term American policy that the Israeli settlements on the West Bank considered a violation of the law.

For the first time in two decades, Israel brought tanks to the West Bank, and focused his attention on militants who hid there after the signing of the ceases -fires in Gaza.
Palestinians see the effort as Israel an attempt at an attempt to recapture the areas currently run by the Palestinian authority.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Sunday said that Israeli troops on the West Bank would remain ‘as long as necessary’.
The Israeli Minister of Defense Israel Katz said that troops in urban areas of the West Bank would be at least “for the coming year” and the 40,000 Palestinians who fled could not return to their homes.
“We will not allow the return of residents, and we will not allow terrorism to return and grow,” he said.
