Republicans denounce Biden’s parole program: ‘This program is rife with fraud’

Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee have blasted Ur Jaddou, head of the Republican Party United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)Wednesday, criticizing her leadership and the Biden administration for pushing in massive illegal immigration and running a humanitarian parole program “rife with fraud.”

USCIS is a federal agency tasked with overseeing legal immigration to the US

“You totally blew it,” said Texas Rep. Troy Nehls Jaddou said.

“The American people are sick and tired, and you should all be fired. That will happen soon, because the American people said, ‘We will not tolerate this anymore,’” he added.

Representative Tom McClintock, head of the Subcommittee on Immigration Integrity, Security and Enforcementalso got through to Jaddou, saying, “If anyone is wondering why real wages for working families have fallen under this administration, look no further than the desk before us today.”

“Our subcommittee,” he continued, “has noted that in millions of cases, credible fear interviews are not even conducted before migrants who have entered the country illegally are subsequently released into the country. How do you explain that?”

Jaddou tried to explain it by saying that USCIS, which is funded primarily by applicants’ fees, is underfunded.

McClintock responded that “until we opened our borders, those fees were more than sufficient to conduct those interviews, and under your administration they are not.”

The chairman was particularly critical of the Parole program for Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans and Venezuelans — known as CHNV — which was used to admit more than 530,000 migrants from those countries into the U.S., according to a November report by the subcommittee

The CHNV program was launched by the Biden administration in January 2023 and allows up to 30,000 migrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela to enter the US each month. It was temporarily interrupted by the government in July over fraud concerns, but reinstated just weeks later.

“They took a conditional authority that required a case-by-case assessment of individual exigent circumstances to allow temporary entry into the United States and turned it into a fraud-ridden, mass admission of more than half a million Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans and Venezuelans. up to 1,000 per day,” McClintock said.

McClintock also criticized USCIS for not properly vetting CHNV sponsors and not allowing migrants to sponsor each other.

“Literally, one parolee can arrive in this country immediately, be given indefinite status, and then sign up to be a sponsor for the next one. This is illegal chain migration on steroids, all made possible by an agency willing to twist and ignore the law,” he said. .

Further printed by Ohio Representative Jim JordanJaddou admitted that the program allows migrants to sponsor other migrants. She said 86% of CHNV’s parole sponsors are U.S. citizens and legal residents, leaving questions about the remaining 14%.

Arizona Rep. Andy Biggs went further, questioning Jaddou about the widespread abuse of the CHNV program by migrants, citing hundreds and thousands of copies of the same social security number, email address, zip code and responses used in multiple sponsorship applications.

“This program is riddled with fraud,” Biggs said, adding that “the fraud was so widespread that you shut down the program, but you haven’t fixed it. It’s still going on.”

“Do you know how to reduce illegal immigration, according to the left? It’s very simple. You are making illegal immigration legal,” says Texas Rep. Wesley Hunt.

“Biden was angry that the American people were complaining about the increase in illegal immigration at the border,” he said. “So, what did Biden do? He legalized illegal immigration by expanding the intended use of parole to meet his needs.”

During the hearing, Jaddou insisted her agency was effectively managing its functions, including the CHNV program, which she said is “just one part” of “a complete border management strategy.”

“It can’t work alone,” she said. “Enforcement measures cannot work alone if we want them to be long-lasting, which is why this process is important.”
