“I made it clear to the president that he has no mandate to reduce Medicaid,” said Green, referring to the health care program used by 80 million Americans. “I have people who are very anxious. These are poor people, and they only have medicaid in their lives when it comes to their health care.”

“But it is worthwhile to let people know that some of us are standing up against the wish of this president to reduce Medicare, Medicare and Social Security,” he said.
