Seven years after he had suffered a huge stroke and the diagnosis was made a traumatic brain injury, the former “Reba” star Christopher Rich begins.
“I actually took over in the last decade and if anyone dragged me out of the dark corner of the cupboard, it would be the redhead,” Rich joked, who played the ex-husband of Reba Mentire on the Sitcom from 2001 to 2007, joked to Entertainment tonight From the Country Star on Wednesday.
Rich will play a local tattoo artist with a distorted sense of humor about the fact that he has had a stroke and cannot use his left hand on the new show of Mentire “Happy’s place.”
He told US Weekly He was also enthusiastic to play a disabled character in the show.

The guest place will serve as a reunion with rich, MCTIRE and her “Happy’s Place” Co-star Melissa PetermanWho also played Barbra Jean, the character Brock of the woman Rich left Mentire for ‘Reba’.
“I needed a place where I could feel safe to really try to turn this broken body out again and they made the place,” Rich told entertainment tonight.

Rich has also credited Mentire and Peterman to remove him from his house after his stroke.

“I feel so bizarre recovering from this battle -thing that I didn’t even want to leave my house, but you know, they have me back,” he told Entertainment tonight of Mentire, Peterman and the boyfriend of Mentire and Coster Rex Linn. “They would invite me to parties and things, football matches, yes. I spent a lot of time at her and Rex’s place to look at the Longhorns.”
“There is magic here,” Peterman said about the chemistry between the three of them.

Mentire also praised Rich because he went back to the camera after his injury.
“It was not easy for him to come back and do this with a group that has known him for 25 years,” she told entertainment tonight, “but for him to have the courage to do this and let everyone so comfortable Feeling – He had a stroke and he is acting again and that gives so much inspiration to other people.

Rich added: “I was ready to (stop acting), but now I am back in the race. I am going to the finish line. I might have to lean over it, but I get there.”
In the past, Rich has said that he suffered his stroke in Easter morning in 2018, making it difficult for him to walk, talk and use the left side of his body.
