Real Madrid has opened talks with Vinicius Jr representatives as they are trying to prevent Saudi Arabia’s interest and tie the Brazilian in a new contract.
The Spanish Kathimerini, as Madrid’s report asked what it would need to secure the long -term future of the wing with its current agreement due to its expiration in 2027.
Madrid did not intend to open discussions by the summer, when the player entered the last two years of his existing terms, but the growing interest of the Saudi Pro League has accelerated the need to bring the two parties together.

Although Vinicius is known to be understandably angry and frustrated that the issue of racism still prevails in Spanish football, he is willing to stay in Madrid.
Speaking after Tuesday night’s victory at Manchester City in the Champions League, he told Tnt Sports: “I have a contract until 2027, but I always said I want to play here for a long time, so that I can make the story and receive the Love of the fans with the president, all players and training staff.
“And God willing, we hope that in the coming days all the negotiation can be resolved and I can stay here for much more.”
The Brazilian will ask for wages increase
As Vinicius’s current agreement sees him earning about £ 12.5 million a year, the same basic salary as Kylian Mbappe.
However, Mbappe also received a remuneration of £ 33m when he participated in a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain last summer, boosting his annual salary to about £ 18.5m and this will be sought by Vinicius.
In addition, Madrid must calculate the cost of renegotiation of the Jude Bellingham Convention.
