Rashford in talks with top sports agency as United exit rumors grow

Marcus Rashford is in talks with a leading sports agency in a bid to push through a move away from Manchester United this month, according to reports.

According to The Sun, the 27-year-old has been in contact with Stellar, the same agency that helped facilitate Gareth Bale’s £86m move to Real Madrid from Tottenham in 2013.

On its website, Stellar claims to “create the best opportunities for talent to maximize their careers and achieve their ambitions.”

Rashford is currently represented by brother Dwayne Maynard, but the Sun also claim he is willing to join Stellar to secure a move.

It has been a turbulent period for Rashford under new United manager Ruben Amorim. Before the 2-0 defeat at Newcastle on Monday, where he was an unused substitute, Rashford had been left out of United’s squad for four games by the Portuguese manager.

This led to the England forward revealing in an interview with journalist Henry Winter in December that he was “ready for a new challenge”, prompting increasing speculation about his future at Old Trafford.

But the United academy graduate insisted there will be no “hard feelings” if he leaves the Red Devils.

“You’re not going to get any negative comments from me about Manchester United. This is who I am as a person,” he said.

United are currently 14th in the Premier League table after a dismal run of results which has seen them lose three consecutive games without scoring.

They travel to league leaders and bitter rivals Liverpool on January 5 before a trip to Arsenal in the third round of the FA Cup seven days later.
