(The director of the film Priscilla in 2023 approx Priscilla’s past marriage until late Elvis Presley.)
Priscilla also claims that Cruise “strained” her relationship with Coppola after he tried to “inject himself into the deal” she made for adapted her memoir for the big screen.
“(She sent) numerous messages to the film’s director in Los Angeles, Sofia Coppola, trying to get credit for the picture and try to get invited to the film’s premiere,” the documents state, alleging that Cruise did the same to Priscilla family.
“(She) went out of her way to inject herself into a family problem that I had when my daughter, Lisa Mariepassed away unexpectedly in January 2023,” Priscilla added. “Including (but not limited to) making numerous unsolicited trips to California to meet with me, interfering with legal negotiations and the resulting settlement agreement, and causing discord between me and my granddaughter (Riley).”

“Grandma stuff will be happy,” Riley said Vanity Fair in a profile published late last year. “They were never happy. … There was a bit of an upheaval (after my mother’s death), but now everything will be as it was. (Priscilla) is a beautiful woman and she was a huge part of creating my grandfather’s legacy and Graceland. It’s very important to her. He was the love of her life.”
Regarding Priscilla’s ongoing case, Us Weekly confirmed in July 2024 that she is suing four of her former business partners for $1 million after she was accused of elder abuse. The actress claims in her lawsuit that Cruise and other associates conspired to take advantage of her finances, calling Cruise a “fraudster and pathological liar.” According to Priscilla, the two women met in 2021 when Cruz began selling Elvis memorabilia before slowly taking control of Priscilla’s finances.
Priscilla’s attorneys wrote in the original filing, “This action stems from a meticulously planned and despicable scheme by the defendants in this case to prey on an elderly woman by gaining her trust, isolating her from the most important people in her life, and tricking her into led her to believe that they would take care of her (personally and financially), when their real goal was to drain her of every last penny she had.’
In a statement to usCruz said, “Any statements I have to make will be in my court documents. However, I decided to write a book about my treatment and experience with this family. It’s coming. One could never fathom what these people did to me and my children, let alone each other. The whole truth is coming out and I will see to it.”
