Kate Middleton gave a significant nod to Princess Diana for her first public appearance from 2025 — which also marked her first solo engagement since being diagnosed with cancer.
The Princess of Wales made a touching and polished return to the Royal Marsden Hospital on Tuesday (January 14) in London, where Middleton, 43, revealed that in 2024 underwent preventive chemotherapy at the world-renowned medical center in South Kensington.
Adding another personal touch to the occasion, she debuted a mesmerizing new piece of jewelry: Trinity earrings by Cartier in white gold. Princess Diana is also known to admire the Trinity collection, often wearing a classic Trinity ring on her little finger.
The elegant earrings retail for $1,670 and feature three intertwined bands of 18k white, yellow and rose gold. Cartier’s iconic Trinity collection, which celebrated its 100th anniversary last year, has attracted a devoted following of notable (and noble) personalities throughout history.
Middleton’s visit to the Royal Marsden served as both a strong statement of sustainability and a stylish start to the new year, as her carefully selected, timeless accessories spoke volumes.

Retailing for $4,900, the top handle style is a luxurious piece crafted from the most supple soft cranberry grain leather. It featured Asprey’s signature twist lock and polished gold hardware, adding a touch of sophisticated glam to match her gold earrings.

The visit of the Princess of Wales to the Royal Marsden celebrated message that he is in remission. It also highlighted her thoughtful approach to dressing for the occasion, combining classic, contemporary pieces with personal touches. Princess Diana would no doubt be proud.
