Potter hails West Ham’s ‘coherence’ after sealing ‘far perfect’ first win against Fulham

“There was only one team that was on the pitch trying to win the game until we conceded the first goal we gave them.

“We controlled the game and hit the post. We have shown quality up until then but we have to maintain the standard throughout the game.

“We also had another hit on the crossbar from Raul Jimenez, and even with the mistakes we made in the first half, the result could have been completely different if we had been clinical.

“In the second half, we knew we had to start strong and score early to come back and get a result. We did it and then we gave away another goal for them. We did everything a lot more than West Ham.

“We were dominant as we are in all games. But it wasn’t reflected in the result at all, but that’s the reality of the Premier League.”
