Ange Postecoglou admitted that the Tottenham side did not have a “cutting edge”, but praised the second half of his players, despite a 1-0 defeat at Manchester City in the Premier League on Wednesday.
Erling Haaland, returning from the absence of two matches, found the net after 12 minutes in a first half -city that dominated. But both sides proved to be wasted and, in the end, the SPRS were left to overcome several good chances that went begging after the break.
The victory for their city moves back to the top of the championship, as Pep Guardiola, who called Postecoglou as a “excellent” manager, cut a full -time figure.
“The first semester was difficult,” Postecoglou told TNT Sports. “They (city) had the superiority and scored and had some good chances.
“But I thought the second half was dominating and just missing the target. We dominated the ball, we dominated the territory, we nailed them back.
“We are just missing this peak in the last third.”

Guardiola also emphasized the lack of quality on his side in front of the goal, but said he was happy that his team took the line.
“(I’m) very happy for the three points – this (football) is a business,” the city’s boss said.
“The second half was open because it didn’t end the game in the first. We had so many opportunities and the quality we have to convert.
“We knew in the second (half) we would suffer, but the kids did it. They fought for a lot and I was really happy.”
Guardiola was also free for the city’s opponents: “This is one of the best depth groups I’ve ever seen.
Subsequently for Tottenham is a trip to Az Alkmaar in the Europa League round of the first 16 feet on March 6, while City is in the FA Cup fourth action on Saturday, when they host the Plymouth Argyle league, which hit Liverpool in the last round.
