Postecoglou rejoices for Manchester City as Tottenham is looking to complete the treasure over the champions

Tottenham coach, Ange Postecoglou, has filled the praise in Manchester City before meeting on Wednesday night.

Spurs’s boss has already surpassed the Premier League champions twice this season, once in the league cup and again in Etihad in November.

But the Australian is well aware of the threat that Pep Guardiola’s side sets, especially when he is against him.

Speaking at the pre-aga press conference, Postcoglou said: “Yes, look that it is always a challenge when you play a city and cause you in ways that other clubs are not in terms of their football.

“I know about them that they go through a rugged crack, but their football is still a real challenge to play against, but it is a great challenge. It’s what you want and you want to count yourself.

“They will come here and try to play. They dominate the ball and we want to be dominant. But you know against Man City you can’t be and it is impossible to dominate all aspects.

“I am always looking forward to the challenge. Man City is an excellent football club, the great director, still has great footballers and still plays really challenging football in any opponent.

“We have enjoyed our games against them, whether it was this year or last year. They will try to win, they will try to play extensively and we will try to do the same. It will be a good test for us.”

A victory would mark four in the Premier League for the Spurs, the best form of form all the time.

They have been removed from below six in recent weeks and until the 12th, though still far from European positions.

But another victory, against the city, could raise the mood even more, especially with Micky Van de Ven, Cristiano Romero and Dominic Solanke returning from an injury next week.

He added: “Everyone rejects that we lost two cups of games and there, so it’s not exactly three in a row. We understand that there was also frustration there.

“I think the last two games, in particular, have definitely encouraged us that they are simply able to activate the team. Whether it is the kids who worked very hard at that time where we were really caused or the kids who come back.

“There is only a real good energy around it. The kids who lost were really willing to contribute and you have seen the excitement that Vicario, Brennan on the weekend, Maddison returning, Destiny, these guys have bought.

“He has helped the rest of the team. I think we have taken advantage of this with the two weeks that we had no middle week games. So all these things and then you get two wins that makes people feel good and it’s something for us to build . “
