Postcoglou still believes in Tottenham players despite Liverpool


Ange Postecoglou has hit Tottenham’s Critics and says he maintains full faith in his players despite their bad form.

The Spurs were forged 4-0 in Liverpool last night in the second leg of the EFL Cup semifinal with Merseysiders traveling 4-1 in total.

Then Sky Pundits Jamie Redknapp and Jamie Carragher entered Postecoglou and his team sitting in 14th place in the Premier League.

The former midfielder of Spurs Redknapp said: “I can’t remember a team in my life to go down with less than one match as they did today.” Carragher added: “When does Tottenham ever win a big game and wins against chances and surprise?

“Every time they get into big games you never think they will win.”

Villa then for racing spores

Then for Tottenham is another hard mission-a fa cup fourth tie in Aston Villa on Sunday night.

Postecoglou said: “There are a lot about them (players). I take the pile right now, it’s really easy for people to get started and challenge the players, but that’s not something I do.

“We were disappointed last night it didn’t go as we wanted and we hadn’t executed on the levels – but that doesn’t set this team of players in my eyes.

“We will go out there on Sunday and get more than a show that reflects where we are.

There are no rear players for a villa collision

Postcoglou’s mitigation is a list of injuries that has immobilized their progress this season.

The Australian says the villa game will come soon for the wounded walking, but hopes to have more players when Manchester United visits northern London next weekend.

“We are still optimistic that we will get two or three back for the Man UTD game, we have two whole weeks of training and we have to take the majority of these players back with a little luck, providing that we do not lose anyone else. I knew this would be a difficult week for staff, “he said.

Hit richarlison

Brazil forward, Richarlison will be missing from Villa Park after going to Anfield with what seemed to be a calf injury.

“He’s frustrating for him. He was emotional. He has worked really hard to return. It’s another setback we have to face,” Postcoglou said.
