Pope Francis Responds well to the treatment and has shown a “gradual, mild improvement” in recent days because he continues to recover from double pneumonia in the hospital, the Vatican said Sunday.
“The night was quiet; the pope rest,” the Vatican said in a statement.
Francis, 88, was admitted to that of Rome Gemini Hospital On February 14 after a week -long match of bronchitis, deteriorated. For the first time, doctors put the complex viral, bacterial and fungal practice infection and then the start of pneumonia in both lungs.

This is the fourth Sunday in a row that the Pope will not appear before his weekly afternoon blessing, but the Vatican is planning to spread the message he would have delivered.
The state of the pope has remained stable because he has not had a fever and good oxygen levels in his blood for a few days, doctors said. The doctors said that his stability “therefore testifies a good response to therapy.”
The first time doctors have reported that Francis, who has chronic lung disease and had removed some of one long when he was younger, responded well to the prescribed therapies since he was admitted to the hospital more than three weeks ago.

But his prognosis remains ‘guarded’, doctors said, which means that he is not yet in danger.
Despite the absence of Francis, the daily activities of the Vatican went further alongside the celebrations of his holy year, the once Everige Jubilee jubilee that brings pilgrims from all over the world to Rome. The Holy Year is celebrating volunteers this weekend and many are expanding their pilgrimage to pray for Francis outside the hospital.

Canadian Cardinal Michael Czerny will be the Holy year on Sunday for the volunteers.
The pope has used high streams of additional oxygen to help him breathe during the day and at night a non -invasive mechanical ventilation mask.
