Pamela Anderson weighs in after missing out on an Oscar nomination.

The 57-year-old actress received recognition for her performance in The last showgirl. And yet she was absent From the Best Actress in a Leading Role category when they were nominated for the 97th Academy Awards announced on Thursday, January 23.

According to Anderson, the snub wasn’t much of a surprise.

“Oh my god, this is not something I ever expected. Doing the work is the victory,” she told Elle.com After the nominations were announced on Thursday. “It’s what I love to do and I think we can lose that sometimes in all this crazy awards season, but it’s nice to be recognized and it’s all a bonus.”

Despite missing out on an Oscar nod, Anderson was recognized with nominations for The last showgirl at the Golden Globes and Screen Actors Guild Awards.

“I couldn’t imagine (it) anyway. I’m happy for the SAG nomination, it’s (voted by) your peers. It’s really cool,” Anderson told The Outlet.
