New York Yankees Catcher Austin Wells etched himself in the history books in the opening day of the team against the Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday in Yankee Stadium.
Wells, 25, had already written history in the day because he became the first catcher ever to be beaten in a regular season in the history of Yankees.

Wells returned after he started the year slowly, but ended with a .229 average and 13 home runs to go behind the record in 2024 in addition to a strong defense.

If his first start is an indication of how his season will go, the Yankees will be happy with the WELS season.
