Louis Partridge and Olivia Rodrigo
MEGAOlivia Rodrigo seems to still feel “so American” next to the boyfriend Lewis Partridge – especially during their last meeting in New York.
Rodrigo and Partridge, both 21, were spotted enjoying a romantic stroll around Greenwich Village on Friday, January 17. The actor was seen walking next to Rodrigo, wrapping his arm around his waist.
Both the Grammy winner and Partridge were dressed casually for the outing. Rodrigo wore a striped shirt under a quilted black coat with blue pants and a pair of sunglasses. Meanwhile, Partridge opted for a black button down jacket and khakis.
The pair have been dating since the fall of 2023 after being spotted packing on the PDA in Partridge’s native London. Since then, the couple has kept their romance relatively low-key and out of the public eye.
“Meetings should probably not be held in the public eye,” Partridge said British Vogue in profile since March 2024. “There’s enough going on between two people. You don’t need the voices of thousands of others in your head. I think she is doing much worse than me. I can be a bit of a normal person. She has tons and tons of eyes on her case.
At the time, he added: “If there are a lot of people in a room talking about you, you can choose to put your ear to the door to hear what they’re saying or not. I think it’s better not to let curiosity get the better of you.
Partridge has been ever since a staple of Rodrigo’s concerts in the United States and across the pond. She is returned the favor supporting his career achievements when they made their red carpet debut at the premiere of his show in August 2024. Fans also speculate that Rodrigo’s song “So American” was written for Partridge.
“And he laughs at all my jokes / And says I’m so American / Oh my God, it’s just not fair of him / To make me feel so much,” sings Rodrigo on the song, which she released in March 2024 Mr. album Gut. “I’d go anywhere he goes / And he says I’m so American / Oh my God, I’ll marry him / If he keeps it up.”
Rodrigo famously doesn’t name her songwriting muses — including on 2021’s “Driver’s License,” which was heavily rumored to be about her ex Joshua Bassett — and Partridge did the same.
“Not my song, not my place,” the British star in short El in October 2024 “So I don’t know.”
