The San Francisco 49ers take on the Buffalo Bills on Sunday evening as bad weather hit the New York area, covering Highmark Stadium in snow.
Fans did their best to shovel away the snow as kickoff approached. Photos showed several people working to clear snow from chairs, walkways and the field.

The match was still scheduled to start at 8:20 PM ET.
“Ready for football,” the Bills wrote on X.
Lake effect snow pummeled western New York, south of Buffalo, with as much as three feet of snow Fox again.
Portions of Interstate 90 were forced to shut down as the storm moved across parts of Ohio and into Eric County, Pennsylvania.

New York State Department of Transportation workers did their best to clear the roads around Highmark Stadium.
“NYSDOT forces have doubled shifts in and around the stadium since last night on Route 20, Route 20A, Route 219, Route 5 and Route 179,” the agency wrote on vehicles quickly and ensure that traffic continues to move.
“Go Bills!”

New York said another three to six feet of snow was possible in western New York and another two to three feet of snow in areas of northern New York. Gov. Kathy Hochul’s office.
