Myles Lewis-Skelly respects Erling Haaland “Very”, insists that Arsenal’s teammate

Gabriel Martinelli insists that Myles Lewis-Skelly respects Erling Haaland despite Arsenal’s young man who seems to be ridiculed by Manchester City striker in yesterday’s conflict in the Emirates.

Lewis-Skelly scored Arsenal’s third goal in a 5-1 victory with the fall of the city after Haaland dropped a level with a tall header.

There was an issue that was running all over the game with Arsenal players seeking to try to rile haaland, after the Norwegian told Gunners Boss Mikel Arteta to “remain humble” after a 2-2 draw in Manchester earlier at the time.

Gabriel shouted in Haaland’s face after Martin Odegaard scored Arsenal’s opener before Lewis-Skelly copies Haaland’s meditation after Stefan Ortega’s launch.

‘He respects a lot’

Haaland’s father, former City and Leeds Midfielder Alfie-Einge, had a pop in Arsenal after yesterday’s game, but Martinelli insisted that there was no lack of respect for Borussia Dortmund’s ex-husband.

Brazil forward told The Independent: “I don’t know if it was designed (the celebration), but, of course, it respects Erling a lot.

“He wrote an amazing target and he was recently brilliant. We’re really happy about him.”

Haaland highlighted the mark of the Premier League winner in his shirt as he applauded travelers in the final whistle, adding hostility between the sides.

Arsenal is still trying to win the championship – Martinelli

Martinelli added: “They are two teams who want to win the championship, so it’s a race.

“We tried our best, and they tried their best. We have to win duels to win these games and that’s why this game is getting hard work. We did well and we’re really happy with the result.

“We know our properties, the team we have. Although we have injured some players, we know the quality we have in the team and try our best for the club, for the players who are injured and for the fans. We still have a long journey to Let’s go, a lot of games to go, but we will try to do our best to win the league. “

Newcastle Next for Gunners

Niki saw Arsenal cling to the Coattails of Liverpool leaders, who won 2-0 at Bournemouth on Saturday.

Arteta men are six points behind Merseysiders, who also have a game in hand.

Arsenal’s best opportunity for silverware remains in Cup competitions and heads to Newcastle on Wednesday in search of a 2-0 deficit from the first leg of the EFL Cup semifinal.

Martinelli said: “We will go there to win the game and score three, four, five. Let’s see, the game will be really difficult, surely. But we will try our best to win the game.

“It will be another battle. We know how difficult it is to play there. But, as I said, we have a stunning team and we have full confidence in our team and trust ourselves. We will go there to win.”
