Cher Gopmanformerly known to reality TV fans as Cher Hubscher, made a name for herself after appearing on the MTV series My Super Sweet 16 in 2007 – but she’s only now speaking out about her alleged experience on the show.
In a TikTok video shared on Saturday, January 18, the reality TV alum claims she was never paid a single cent for her time on the show.
In the social media post, Gopman utters along with audio saying, “Since we’re all going to die, there’s one more secret I feel I need to share with you.” She then shows a photo of herself on the show and a caption that reads : “Since TikTok is getting banned, I’m going to tell you how much money I made while on MTV My super sweet 16.” She then says “Zero” as “$0” flashes on the screen.
Gopman’s episode aired on January 15, 2007. Her appearance on the popular reality series helped pave the way for her to take on a series of small acting roles on TV shows including The Amityville Terror, Blind thoughtsand A small fish.
The show wasn’t Gopman’s only foray into reality TV, either. She and her mother, Dawn Hubsher, joined the cast on sMothered in 2019. before the birth of her daughter that year.

After working in healthcare for several years before becoming a life coach and social media personality, Gopman has amassed nearly 400,000 followers on TikTok, where most of her content is originally shared.
Gopman has been an outspoken supporter of the platform, which is set to go dark in the United States on Sunday, January 19, after the Supreme Court TKTKTK. On Friday, January 17, she share a video featuring herself and her young daughter at the airport and the caption: “We’re moving to China after TikTok is banned.”
After a commenter noted that TikTok was also banned in China, Gopman shared a second video on Saturday that also featured her mother. “We’re leaving America after Tiktok is banned,” she wrote.
Gopman and her mother co-authored the 2019 book A relationship that lasts forever. In an interview for the book, Gopman told Tinseltown Mom, “My mother and I have always been close. Of course, we had our ups and downs like any mother-daughter relationship and we had our fair share of arguments during my teenage years, but it’s how we got through the tough times that made us so much stronger.”
She also credited her mother with helping her find her voice as a young woman and instead often asks her opinion on various topics. “It made me realize that I had a voice and that she cared about it. She always wanted to spend quality time with me, which made me feel very special at first,” she explained.
