Arsenal will reportedly have no problem if they decide to spend big this January, with money not being an issue as they are expected to focus on signing a wing forward.

The Gunners recently lost star man Bucayo Saka to an injury that could keep him out for a few months. so it definitely needs replacing if they are to stay in the Premier League title race.

Of course, finding someone who can cover for a talent like Saka won’t be easy or cheap, but some big names appear to be in Arsenal’s sights.

According to the Daily MailArsenal should have a fair amount of freedom to spend this January, with a side forward the focus like Nico Williams and Leroy Sane are named as players they like.

Will Arsenal sign a big name like Nico Williams this January?

Even if Arsenal are interested in a big name like Williams, it’s not easy to pull off such deals in the middle of the season.

We’ve seen the north London giants make some smart winter deals with the likes of Leandro Trossard, Jorginho and Jakub Kiwior joining in January 2023.

Williams, however, is certainly in no rush to move and it might make sense to wait until the summer to assess his options.

Arsenal could be a good move for the Spain international, however, as he looks set to make the move from Athletic Bilbao to one of Europe’s elite.

Sane could also do work for AFC, although one imagines he would be a cheaper and shorter-term option as he nears the end of his contract with Bayern Munich.

Arsenal face an uphill battle to topple league champions Liverpool in this year’s title race but could give themselves a glimmer of hope by adding a quality striker this month.
