Miami Dolphins Week 18 Injury Report feat. Tua Tagovailoa

The Denver Broncos fell to the Cincinnati Bengals in overtime on the road last weekend, missing a chance to end the Miami Dolphins’ postseason hopes and earn their first postseason trip in eight years. The Dolphins are still in the postseason thanks to that result and their Week 17 win over the Cleveland Browns.

In Week 18, the Dolphins will square off against the 4-12 New York Jets, who are currently seventh overall in the 2025 NFL Draft. Miami will make the playoffs for the third straight season if they win and the Broncos lose to the Kansas City Chiefs at home.

Miami’s injury tally for the crucial Week 18 game is below.

Miami Dolphins injury report for Week 18

THE Miami DolphinsThe injury situation continues to be dominated by the quarterback Tua Tagovailoaproblem with his hip, but on Wednesday, three players missed practice entirely due to injuries.

Additionally, offensive tackle Kendall Lamm was placed on injured reserve on Wednesday. It’s unclear what put Lamm on injured reserve, given that he played against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 16 and Cleveland on Sunday after missing the Week 15 game against the Houston Texans with a back injury.

Linebacker Anthony Walker Jr. (knee), safety Jordan Poyer (knee/toe) and offensive tackle Terron Armstead (knee) also missed Miami’s practice on Wednesday. Defensive tackle Calais Campbell (rest) was also DNP but is not dealing with any injuries.

Walker has yet to return to practice after missing last week’s win over the Cleveland Browns. As for Armstead, he went down with a knee injury in the first half of last weekend’s game and never returned.

Four other key Dolphins players were also listed as limited participants in Wednesday’s practice: safety Jevon Holland (wrist), punter Jake Bailey (back), wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (knee), wide receiver Tyreek Hill (wrist/rest) and Tagovailoa ( hip).

Tagovailoa is dealing with a hip injury he suffered against the Houston Texans in Week 15. He was able to play through the injury in Week 16 against the 49ers, but was unable to play last week against the Browns.

Coach Mike McDaniel announced Wednesday that the team will get a backup quarterback Tyler Hadley ready as QB1 for Week 18. Additionally, he stated that the team would have time to return to Tagovailoa as the week progresses if he is fully recovered.

Linebacker Duke Riley was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice despite having a foot problem listed on the injury report.
