“#Behind the Scenes filming the wedding scene at 410. New York May 2024 🩷,” the Hulu series’ official account wrote alongside a carousel of images shared via Instagram on Friday, December 20.
In the first photo, Streep, 75, and Short, 74, stand in front of a floral arch of white and pink roses outside the courtyard of the iconic Arconia building. Streep stunned in a floor-length, long-sleeved cream dress that featured floral embellishments. Short, for his part, looked dapper in a lavender suit teamed with a cream waistcoat, matching tie and scarf.
The couple stood close to each other with their arms wrapped around each other as they smiled for the camera. The post also included photos of more of the floral arrangements from the scene, the giant wedding cake and the show’s beloved puppy Winnie – who belongs to Short’s character.

Many fans of the crime comedy flocked to the comments section, joking that Streep and Short, who were rumored to be dating in real life they looked like a complete couple.
“You could (say) Meryl and Martin got married, I would have believed it,” one user replied, while another replied: “Behind the scenes I’m convinced it happened 🥹🤍✨.”
Short stars as Oliver in Only murders in the buildingg on the side Steve Martin (who plays Charles) and Selena Gomez (who plays Mabel) from the series premiere in 2021. Streep joined the cast in season 3 as Loretta, who is an actress and Oliver’s love interest. In season 4, Loretta and Oliver got engaged and their wedding took place in the season finale.
While the couple’s wedding was a success, Loretta and Oliver’s future is up in the air. At the final, Loretta shared that days after the ceremony she had to go to New Zealand to film her show. Olivier insisted that the distance would work as he would stay in Arconia with Charles and Mabel. The trio has another murder investigation on their hands as the porter of Arconia Leicester (Teddy Coluca) was found dead in the fountain after Oliver’s wedding.
Only the murders in the building were renewed for season 5 shortly after the season 4 premiere. Briefly, Martin and Gomez are expected to return, but no further casting announcements have been made yet.
