In an exclusive interview with Us WeeklyGorga, 45, shared what inspired her to embark on this new venture. “Everyone knows sprinkle cookies are my absolute favorite,” the 45-year-old Bravo star said us. “We had this iconic scene (of The Real Housewives of New Jersey) and I’ve always wanted to come out with my own — it’s been a long time coming.”
Like loyal RHONJ fans know that Gorga’s preference for Italian pastries was revealed during season 3 when Gorga’s sister-in-law, Teresa Giudicerecalled the disposal box of crackers with sprinkles which Gorga, then pregnant, brought to her home on Christmas Eve. (The incident that inspired the TikTok sound was just one of many that contributed to their ongoing problems.)
Since then, “Everywhere I go, people give me sprinkles, (whether) it’s at book signings or when they come to Envy,” Gorga continued. “When we go to Dolores‘ (Cataniaat Battle for Brooklyn’ baseball), each holding ‘Team Sprinkle’ (signs).”

Gorga spent nearly two years searching for the right baker to team up with to create the best product possible. “It was all about an amazing-tasting cookie that would make people (say), ‘That was the best butter cookie I’ve ever had, and I’m going to have it again,'” she explained. “So there was a lot of work, back and forth, (to) create the perfect cookie — and we definitely have it now.”
According to the reality star, she has big plans to expand — “I’m looking at (creating) a sprinkle cake and possibly a cookie crumb cake with sprinkles” — and customers will also be able to customize orders: “We’re going to have a variety of colors, so if you want to bring the sprinkle cookies to a baby shower, there will be pink and blue (options).”
Melissa’s husband, Joe Gorgahas already given its seal of approval. “He’s obviously eaten Italian pastries his whole life, so he’s a picky eater,” the mother-of-three said us to Joe, 50, with whom she shares Antonia, 18, Gino, 16, and Joey, 13. “He loves them and also (asks), ‘What’s taking you so long?’

with RHONJ currently on hiatusMelissa is busy hosting the “On Display” podcast and managing Envy’s two locations in Ridgewood, New Jersey and Huntington, New York. She is also in the midst of planning the festivities for her annual Christmas Eve party. “It’s a big deal for me,” she shared. “Last year I had carolers come to the door. I order Santa Claus to appear with presents for all the little children – I am above all.”
Sharing her favorite cookies with family and fans just in time for the holiday season is another reason for Melissa to celebrate. “I’m excited that everyone will be able to wear them to Christmas Eve and parties and share my sprinkle cookies,” I love Italian style added the author. “To me, it’s magical — it’s a dream.”
