Meghan Markle’s New Netflix Lifestyle Show, “With Love, Meghan”, is widely banned by critics.

The 43-year-old Duchess of the Sussex series, which premiered on March 4, is a gloomy 33% on the Tomatometer of Rotten Tomatoes.

In the show, Markle shared her favorite cooking recipes and hosting tips while they were accompanied by some of her famous friends, including Mindy Kaling, former “suits” co-star Abigail Spencer, Argentinian influencer Delfina Blaquier and famous chefs Roy Choi and Alice Waters.

While he spoke with Fox News Digital, Kinsey Schofield, host of the podcast “to di for Daily”, why she believes “with love, Meghan” the goal.

“Meghan has to raise the people around her instead of hijacking all the oxygen in the room,” said Schofield.

“She seems to be totally self -examination and Toon deaf,” Schaofield added. “You are standing next to Mindy Kaling, and you don’t ask her how she built her girl’s boss Empire? Why?”

After she was familiar with Roem when she played in the HIT NBC -Sitcom “The Office”, Kaling, 45, founded her production company, Kaling International, in 2012. Via Kaling International, Kaling made and produced a number of successful television series, including “The Mindy Project,” “Never Have I Ever.”

Kaling is the maker and showrunner of the most recent project of her company, Netflix’s TV program “Running Point”, Who Stars Kate Hudson. The sports comedy premiered on the streaming platform 27 February and debuted number 3 on the top 10 shows of Netflix in the US.

The six-fold Emmy Award winner joined Markle in the second episode of “With Love, Meghan” in which they worked together to organize a children’s Garden Tea Party. According to Markle, the two “e -mailing friends” have appeared on her podcast “Archetypes” since Kaling in 2022.

Shortly after the show’s premiere, the episode went viral for a moment when Markle Kaling corrected when the comedian referred to the Duchess with her first name.

“It’s so funny that you keep saying Meghan Markle,” said Markle. “You know I’m Sussex now.”

Schofield noticed how the viral exchange emphasized points that other reviewers made in their criticism of ‘with love, Meghan’. The show, which Markle chose to film on a rented estate in Montecito, California, instead of her own house in the neighborhood, has been criticized Lack of authenticity.

“Meghan misses humility or a shred of authenticity.” Said Schofield. “It is a flagrant obvious PR exercise that does not give us a glimpse of the real world of Meghan. She does random art and crafts in the house of someone else with people she claims are her very best friends, but not knows that they are left-handed or allergic to peanut butter? You don’t know your ‘girl’?

“It is such a painful farce,” Schofield added. “Her ‘hacks’ are well-known and her definition of ‘elevation’ is the same as wasting 60 pounds of fruit and tracing lines on your paper menu with a pencil so that you can erase them later.”

Royal photographer Helena Chard agreed that Markle’s show would have had more resonance with the audience if she had taken the opportunity to take authentic contact with her guests and to show her real personality.

“As far as I see, Meghan Charisma and connection with her guests and the public misses,” Chard told Fox News Digital. “However, her guests glorify Meghan and put her on a pedestal. It would ask Meghan’s character if she changed things by concentrating and lifting her guests for a change.”

Chard pointed out that the audience in the United Kingdom may not be familiar with some guests on “With Love, Meghan” and “To find out more about them, a special touch would add.”

The royal expert described the cooking and hosting tips and tricks of Markle as “non -original and basic.”

“The production unfortunately feels faint, staged and bent,” Chard added. “Netflix (HAS) has shot a shiny production aimed at Meghan. The hope is that the Meghan series will show in a new light, rehabilitates its image and changes public perception.

“The truth is that people want to see more rough fun moments, no staged ambitious content,” she explained. “A fun, authentic personality full of heart resonates much more with the audience and would give Meghan a lot more compliment.”

“With Love, Meghan” was originally planned to be released in January, but the debut was delayed because of the fires of Los Angeles. The Lifestyle Show is the newest project that comes from the multi -year Deal Markle and Husband Prince Harry Made with Netflix in 2020. The streamer announced on Friday that “With Love, Meghan” will premiere his second season this fall and that the episodes have already been shot.

In December 2024, Netflix released Harry’s five-part documentary project “Polo”, which followed professional polo players while competing in the US Open Polo Championship during the 2024 season. Harry and Meghan appeared briefly in the docuseries when the Duke participated in a good goal polo competition.

“Polo” was also confronted with mainly negative reviews after the release. Royal Expert Hilary Fordwich attracted comparisons between “Polo” and “With Love, Meghan,” Fox News Digital telling the shows were poorly received for similar reasons.

“The most unfortunately, like Harry’s Netflix-Flop ‘Polo’, one of the abundance of reasons why reviews are so low and critics are savaged (Markle) ‘s to a lack of authenticity, a tone-deaf image of privileged self-sufficient people,” Fordwich said.

“Neither Netflix shows is resonated with the audience. Both are universal mocked,” she added.

Fordwich mentioned the low scores of users on IMDB, where “Polo” achieved a public score of three of the 10 and “With Love, Meghan”, achieved a score of 2.7 out of 10.

“Both low reviews sets are devastating because Netflix is not investing to harvest such matte reviews,” said Fordwich.

Fordwich referred to an Instagram message that Markle shared to promote “With Love, Meghan” prior to the release. On Tuesday, Markle uploaded a carousel of images that were made during the production of the show and write: “Today is the day! A few BTS -Snaps + Food photos that I made on set for ‘With Love, Meghan’. Come to the party on @netflix!”

“It does not exactly beg, but (Markle) has encouraged fans to ‘get to the party’, perhaps because of the horrible reviews?” Fordwich said.

Despite the negative reviews of the show, Markle celebrated his streaming success in a message that she shared on her Instagram story on Wednesday.

“For more recipes, pleasure and reasons for ‘mmmm’ in ‘mmmm’, view the show – which is already in the top 10 in just 24 hours!” The Duchess Under a promo for ‘With Love, Meghan’.

“Thanks to all of you all over the world who coordinate!”
