Meghan King took her daughter to Taylor Swift’s cover band during the Eras tour


When Megan King I couldn’t get tickets for Taylor Swiftis sold out The Tour of the Agesshe knew exactly how to shake him off.

“I have an 8-year-old daughter and I live in St. Louis, Missouri, so we didn’t have the privilege of Taylor coming to our city,” King, 40, exclusively said Us Weekly at the iHeartRadio z100 Jingle Ball concert on Friday, December 13. “But we had a cover band. Taylor Swift’s artists are on tour. Believe it or not, it exists. So (I took) my 8-year-old daughter and it was amazing.

According to The Real Housewives of Orange County alum, the mood “was great” and her daughter Aspen had a fantastic time.

“(It) goes back to what women are doing in music today,” King explained. “Taylor Swift sets an example not only for her shows, but for other people who also benefit from her success. I just love it. That’s girl power.

The Eras Tour was previously confirmed as highest grossing tour of all time, grossing over $2 billion in ticket sales. Concerts around the world sold out quickly, prompting Swift to add more dates on the history-making tour, which officially ended on December 8.

Earlier this month, King gave a glimpse into his own unique concert experience at the St. Charles Family Arena. Although it wasn’t Swift, 35, behind the mic, “Faux Taylor” exceeded expectations.

“(Aspen) turned to me like the little fashionista that she is and said, ‘Mom, I know that’s not the real Taylor, I mean. she only wears red bottoms,” King wrote via Instagram on December 10. “Once Aspen let out that rant of the screaming—horrible? — a sacrilegious atrocity of shoe choices to copy the DSW brand, she immediately became a full-fledged fan girl, and we sang every word along for the rest of the show.

“The night is done. A month made. Year of manufacture? It was for the books,” King added. “Thanks to Momo and Dad for the best seats in the house to celebrate Aspen’s 8th birthday and a babysitter for the boys so mom can join in the magic ♥️ 🌳.”

In addition to raising Aspen, King also shares twin sons Hart and Hayes, 5, with her ex-husband Jim Edmonds.

While attending the Jingle Ball at Madison Square Garden in New York City, King was able to enjoy performances by Katy Perry, Meghan Trainor, Tate McRae and other artists.

When it comes to her most performed artist of 2024. however, King revealed that it was Sophie Tucker.

“It was really fun,” she said us. “I saw them about three times last year, so that would make sense.”

The iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour special airs on ABC on Wednesday, December 18 at 8:00 PM ET and airs the following day on Hulu.
