Enzo Maresca says he is happy with the Chelsea January transfer window, despite losing strikers Nicolas Jackson and Marc Guiu in injury.
Both strikers came out during West Ham’s Blues 2-1 victory on Monday, and although Jackson is not considered serious, Deputy Guiu seems to have been set for long layoffs with Maresca, is a “bad” injury .
Jackson will also miss the Saturday’s FA Cup game against Brighton on Saturday due to a hamstring problem.
“I said after West Ham’s game that the things we designed in terms of players who had the desire to leave and the players we need,” Maresca said.
“In the end, I think we did all the things we needed. Before the last game, we had two strikers, Nico and Marc.
“Sometimes we also customize Christo (Nkunku) there, but if both are out, we will find a different solution.”

Chelsea sold six players during the winter, with Joao Felix, Ben Chilwell, Axel Disasi, Renato Veiga, Cesare Casadei and Carney Chukwuemeka who are allowed to leave.
Average mathis amougou, 19, was the only new signature of the club from St Etienne.
At Felix’s exit, Maresca added: “We decided, all together, that it was a good choice for him to leave.
“To be honest, he never complained. He was very good with us, a professional, just a matter of my decision.
“The reason why it is because I believe we need defensive balance and when you have so many players, sometimes you can give transitions and goals. I don’t like that.”

Maresca also said that Christopher Nkunku, who had been associated with a January move to Manchester United, will take more minutes.
“Yes, surely, for sure,” he added. “I already talked last week about Christo.
“Against West Ham, he already played more or less half an hour. From now on, he can achieve more minutes and help us.”
