McNees is upset No. 5 Clemson was over early … until it wasn’t.
The 12th placed cowboys Clemson dominated for a large majority of the game on Thursday and led with no less than 24 in the second half, but they only succeeded in squeaking with a victory of 69-67.
Clemson could not find the bottom of the edge in the first half and was held on 13 points and 1-from-15 of three. As far as McNees are concerned, they put 31 in the first 20 minutes and about five minutes in the second half they led with 40-16.

With 8:07 in the game, a three-pointer of Brandon Murray McNees gave a 51-29 lead, but gave the Tigers all the credit for not stopping.
From that moment McNees became cold and Clemson became hot. Clemson went on a 38-18 point to close the game. McNees even led with 12 with less than a minute, but Clemson set down four straight 3-Pointers to make it a three-point game with 12 seconds to go.
With 10 seconds left, Javohn Garcis went to the line and made one of his two free throws, making it a four -point game. The streak with three pointer ended and the clock went after a layout, making an eruption in an exciting thriller at the end.
