Marc Fogel’s mother thanks Trump after his release from Russia


Marc Fogel’s mother, an American who had been held in Russia Since 2021Expressed Enlightenment and gratitude to President Donald Trump for obtaining his release on Tuesday.

“(Trump) promised me that he would get him out, and he kept his promise,” said Malphine Fogel “America Reports.” “I can’t thank him enough.”

Marc FogelA history teacher who worked at the Anglo-American school in Moscow goes back to the American soil after Russia had released him after conversations with Trump administration officials. Fogel served a 14 -year prison sentence after his arrest in August 2021 at a Russian airport because he was in possession of drugs, of which his family and supporters said they had prescribed medical marijuana.

His mother, Malphine, met Trump Before his fatal meeting in Butler, Pennsylvania last year, in which he asked the then presidential nominee not to forget the name of her son. He assured her that he would take her son home.

Now Malphine is celebrating that promise.

“I met President Trump, and he was just as warm as he could be,” Malphine Fogel recalled the Butler meeting. “He told me three different times:” When I come in, “he said,” I’ll take him out, “and I really think he has been instrumental.”

In addition to wanting to thank Trump “Abundant” for his work to bring her son home, Malphine Fogel also expressed gratitude to State Secretary Marco Rubio and others who worked on the case.

She described the relief she felt after she learned that her son would soon be home.

“It was a total surprise when he called, and he said he was at Moscow airport,” the joyful mother. “So that meant that (they) had taken him out of prison to Moscow. … the last week or so, for a crazy reason I had a better feeling about things, but I hadn’t heard of it in a week, so I thought that was strange and when he called this morning, it was just A total shock. ”

Fogel said that her son “will be painful of all the hugs” that he receives as soon as he lands in the United States.

“It’s just an incredible situation now,” she said. “We just wait and wait to get him in the US, I think the first thing he will do is bend and kiss the ground.”
