Manchester United leader Ruben Amurim says his side ran outside Steam to Spain, as the Europa League trip to Real Sociedad ended the whole square.
United came out of the FA Cup in Fulham last weekend and loses 14th in the Premier League, so you have to win the competition to play in Europe next season.
Joshua Zirkzee threw them forward, but Sociedad scored with their first shot as Mikel Oyarzabal’s 70th minute sentence sealed 1-1 draw in front of next week’s return to Old Trafford.
“It could be better, but it could be worse because in the last 20 minutes I felt the team really tired,” the United coach said.
“They have to win at home but we say that every time”
Paul Scholes is not very sure of Man United, but still believes he will proceed to the Europa League 😅

“Until the sentence I felt the team had control of the game. After the target, we were so close to the second target with the transitions. You felt on the pitch that they were nervous.
“But in the end the sentence changed a little bit and when the momentum changed, we get tired more easily. We get the game at Old Trafford and we’ll try to win there.
“We create chances, but sometimes you don’t see it in xg (expected goals) because we manage not to shoot, but the great opportunity is there and you can see it.
“We have transitions. We have situations and sometimes we miss something. They are really anxious to score goals and win games.”
Sociedad Boss Imanol Alguacil said: “We are very happy with the way we fought during the race. We are still alive. We know it will be difficult, but we have a lot of excitement.”
