Manchester City have bolstered their defensive ranks with the signing of 19-year-old Brazilian defender Vitor Reis from Palmeiras.
The club have completed a £29.6m deal for the promising young talent, who has signed a four-and-a-half-year contract.
Reyes, a right-footed centre-back, has made 22 appearances for Palmeiras and represented Brazil at under-17 level.
“This is a dream come true, ever since I was a little kid I’ve always dreamed of having an opportunity like this and playing for a club as big as City,” Reis said.
“The size of Manchester City, its history and structure. When there was a knock on the door and it was Manchester City, I knew there was nowhere else to go.”

“I am a very willing athlete, with a great will to win.
“So that you can all be sure that I will go out and give everything on the field.
“I have a lot of desire and determination and I am a player who loves a challenge, good headers and passes.
“City like to play with a lot of possession, I also like to play like that.
City showed that trust in me when they decided to sign me and that gives me a lot of confidence.
City’s Premier League title defense have escaped injury problems this season, particularly in defence.
The club have already signed Uzbek defender Abdukodir Khusanov this window and are reportedly pursuing a deal for Eintracht Frankfurt striker Omar Marmus before the transfer window closes.
