The absence of the 28 -year -old has been mentioned as an important factor in the recession of the Premier League champions in this season.
The city has dropped 20 points behind Liverpool leaders in the title match and also came out of the Champions League in the hands of Real Madrid before the 16th round.
Speaking at the beginning of the month, Guardiola said: “The most important thing for him is to recover well, he is not a teenager, but he still has years to play and will happen if he recovers well.”
On Saturday, the city turns their attention to the fifth round of the FA Cup when they host the Plymouth Argyle championship, the team that hit Liverpool in the previous round.
