“When we played Liverpool eight years ago, Anfield had a capacity of just over 50,000 – we did about £ 700,000.
“So I think we should do a little better this time. Etihad I think has a capacity of about 62,000, so we think it should be somewhere between £ 600,000 and £ 1m.
“It won’t mean as much as we played Liverpool.
“When we played Liverpool eight years ago that £ 700,000 represented about a third of our football budget, but today our football budget is many multiple than it was then, so it will not be so important.
“Much more important than money – and money will be nice – is that it is going to be a big day for at least 15,000 of our fans.”
