A male practice team player in the Mississippi State University women’s basketball team reportedly violated NCAA rules by betting on sport while participating in the program, according to the Clarion Ledger.
The player reportedly placed six bets from 28-30 September worth $ 10 in a total of NFL and University Football matches. The player did not place any bets with regard to his own team or college basketball, per records obtained by the outlet. Allegedly he started working for the team four days earlier Bets.

In response, the university has increased its sports making rules for all male practical players and now requires that they sign a recognition form.

“Our compliance office does a very thorough task to routinely inform all employees and student athletes about sports bets,” a spokesperson for the athletics department told The Clarion Ledger. (Dylan Buell/Getty images)
The player has reported his sports betting account since his deactivated.
The SEC has not imposed extra penalties, according to the Clarion whides.

“Our compliance office does a very thorough task to routinely inform all employees and student athletes about sports bets,” a spokesperson for the athletics department told The Clarion Ledger. “We also have a good monitoring system. With that process/system we enabled us to tackle and tackle that specific problem quickly and adequately.”
