Magpies hold Reds Fightback in Seven Goal Thriller


Newcaslte kept a return from the second half from Nottingham Forest in a 4-3 fun win in St James’ Park.

Callum Hudson-Ooi gave the forest a premature lead from the distance before Magpies were rioting with four goals 13 minutes by Lewis Miley, Jacob Murphy and two from Alexander Isak.

The forest dominated the second half and a return looked at when Nikola Milenkovic ran to Reds’ second before Ryan Yates fell home in the first minute of the break, but Toon was able to keep the level with the fourth Manchesyer city.

The side of Nuno Espirito Santo remains third, but suffered their third defeat in four Premier League games with the pursuit of the Champions League football seem to lose dynamic.

Forest made the perfect start for the process when Hudson-Ooi chose Fabian Schar’s pocket before catching Nick Pope, who returned to Magpies’ goal after an injury, out with a nice shot from the range.

He got even better not much later and Hall participated once again. The 20 -year -old’s cross from the left was believed to hit Ola Aina’s hand and, after a revision on the rim, a penalty was given. ISAK broke the ball under the waist that Matz Sels could not hold out rather than getting a hand on it.
