As the wildfires continue to spread through the Los Angeles area, several celebrities are taking to social media to share how they were affected.
“Evacuated and safe with kids, dogs and cats. We pray and are grateful for the first responders.” Mandy Moore wrote in a Wednesday, January 8, statement on Instagram Story. In a follow-up post, she added that her family was “grateful for the kindness of friends that we had a place to land last night.”
Moore – who shares children Gus, 3, Ozzy, 2, and Lou, 3 months, with her husband, Taylor Goldsmith — continued: “I’m trying to protect the children from the immense sadness and anxiety I feel. Prayers for everyone in our beautiful city. So gutted for the destruction and loss. I don’t know if our place has made it.”
Gusty winds in Santa Ana sparked fast-burning brush fires on Tuesday, January 7. CNN reported Wednesday that more than 50,000 people were under evacuation orders Tuesday night, with more than 30,000 remaining under orders through Wednesday.
He was among the evacuees Mark Hamillwho informed his Instagram followers that he, his wife, Marilou Yorkand their dog Trixie were staying at his daughter Chelsea’s house. “The worst fire since 1993. 🔥🔥,” he wrote on Wednesday. “SAFE!”
