Liverpool’s reception admits that it should “set a better example” following the Oliver series

Liverpool manager Arne Slot knows that he has to set a better example after the details of his exchange with referee Michael Oliver after Derby Merseyside were revealed by the football association.

The reception gave a two -game bailout and a fine of £ 70,000 after his mission from Oliver after a dramatic conclusion to the final meeting with Everton’s neighbors to be held at Goodison Park.

The Dutchman was furious, after James Tarkowski dropped the home of a last Gasp equator to secure a 2-2 draw, triggering wild celebrations between Everton fans. Oliver’s decision not to award a foul against Everton in the accumulation of the target was confirmed by VAR, who also decided on Tarkowski to undertake.

After the final whistle, Abdoulaye Doucoure’s celebrations in front of Liverpool fans led to a battle involved and Curtis Jones, with the two seeing red before rejecting his perceptions with Oliver.

A written report by FA revealed that the reception said that Oliver had given Everton “F ****** Everything”. After shaking Oliver’s hand for the second time, Slot said, “If we don’t win the championship, I’ll blame you.”

Asked about the exchange at a press conference before the last-16 Paris draw with Paris Saint-Germain, he said: “What I also said in the written exhibition and I can say it once again, when it happened I was quite emotional about everything that happened in

“I chose to go to the court instead of being calm that stays in and then talk to Michael.

“Now I no longer have the same feelings, so I think I have to set a better example than I put on then and not get into the situation again.

“It’s clear what I’ve written and what Michael has written. Michael has been in the news quite recently and I don’t think he helps if I add something to it now I have my feelings under control.”

Liverpool is hunting for a Prima that has made the Carabao Cup final against Newcastle United on March 16 and built a 13 -point lead at the top of the Premier League.

But it is not yet clear whether they will have the aggressive Cody Gakpo available, as Reds seem to enhance their Champions League hopes on the first leg against PSG in Parc des Princes.

“He was close to being ready to play again, but unfortunately yesterday he had to block a shot and felt a little bit of pain again,” Slot told Gakpo.

“I brought him with us to judge how if he could be part of the team but it will be a close call.”
