Captain Van Dijk told Amazon Prime: “It was a very intense, big football game, I think I’m part of it. He was completely there for Liverpool and unfortunately we are in penalties and that is the reality.
“I think in the first semester we created dangerous moments and have the quality, and then comes down to sanctions.
“It’s part of football. I told the guys, obviously, you can be disappointed because we are out of the competition, but go up and get ready for the next challenge, a beautiful weekend. ”

Liverpool improves but not enough
Liverpool led their luck last week to secure a 1-0 win over the Parc des Princes last week with goalkeeper Alisson making a series of Fine Saves before Harvey Elliott hit slowly.
It was much better tonight, though PSG brought the biggest threat as the game continued.
“I think we were good enough today, and you want to go as much as possible, but we knew when we pulled PSG it would be very difficult,” Van Dijk added.
“We saw (this) in Paris when we fought, but we won, and today we saw a very good side of Liverpool, but we are out of competition.
“When the fatigue enters both sides, it becomes more open, but especially normal time, we showed a very good game. We can talk about the game for centuries, but we are out of competition, this is the reality.”
