Lewis Hamilton says his first month as a Ferrari driver “could not go better” and “slowly binds” with the team of 2025 team in front of the first race with them in a fortnight.
Hamilton spoke after completing his second session for Ferrari’s new SF-25 car at Bahrain Testing on Thursday, one morning saw the 40-year-old as the second fastest time of the week.
And while the round times of the test are rarely an accurate index of real performance with groups performing different programs and fuel loads, Hamilton has struck a clear note of optimism and positivity to his life in Ferrari’s life when he talks to television interviews afterwards.
“The way you start is often very important,” Hamilton said in Ferrari’s first weeks since he arrived at Scuderia in mid -January.
“This past month could not go differently and could not go better. Things along the way had to happen, Barcelona had to happen.
“Every day it was important for building a institution. While I mentioned that we had to fill a lot in a short time, we haven’t been raped.
“The big days, but we are here. I think it will pay dividends that will move on. This will constantly evolve and feels unhindered.
Hamilton “really enjoying” driving 2025 Ferrari
While many of Hamilton’s prospects in the 2025 era – starting with Australian GP on March 16th live Sky Sports F1 -I will finally rely on the competitiveness of Ferrari’s latest challenger, his first red season will also be determined by his own acclimatization in the SF-25 after racing for consistency with recent Mercedes cars in the era of soil rules.
Asked if he felt that the concept of Ferrari’s car in 2025 felt better about him than he led to Mercedes in 2024, Hamilton said: “I think it’s a little too early to say, but I really enjoy the car.
“Yesterday it was a day. It was okay, but we went through all our plans. We try a bundle of things.
“So far, I really like driving this car.”
And to adapt to the differences of a Ferrari F1 car, Hamilton added: “These days are for exploration. At the moment, there is still room to explore more and a little more.
“All settings are so different. Even brake bias is different. I’m not necessarily without getting rid of what I had before, but I learn this new way of working and how this car has to be driven is different and this is a fun journey.
“I feel that the car is under me and it responds to my inputs.
“We’ll have a piece of a base of a feeling tomorrow but I think it will be very close.
