Can you Vanderpump Rules overhaul of voices to be traced back to Lala Kentseason 11 of bubbling Ariana Madix? She thinks so.
During the Amazon Live on Thursday, December 19, Kent, 34, explained why he thinks breaking the fourth wall has contributed to the changes happening at Vanderpump Rules.
“I often wonder if I would have kept quiet — if a producer hadn’t stepped in and told me I was allowed to say the things I said off-camera on set — if the show would have been able to go on,” Kent noted. “Or if I was just the final nail in the coffin. I guess we’ll never know.
The reality star claims she’s not that upset her time VPR is coming to the end. (Bravo announced in November that Season 12 of Vanderpump Rules will return after a short hiatus — but with an all-new cast.)
“I’ve talked about this many times, so I’m sorry if I’m boring you,” she continued. “I felt like I started mourning Vanderpump Rules the moment I cleared that finale. So not only did I know it was coming to an end after that, but I feel like the moment we started shooting Season 11, it was going to be the last one.”

Kent added: “It felt like there was nothing – it was broken. It was very broken. So I feel good about it. I feel very calm.”
Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules taken months after the Maddix split Tom Sandoval because of his affair with Rachel “Raquel” Lewis. Kent initially sided with Maddix, 39, but ended up shocking viewers during the finale when she break the fourth wall criticizing Maddix for not filming with Sandoval, 42.
“I was mad and I’m sorry if I hurt you, but I stand by what I said (during the finale),” Kent said during the reunion special in May. “Why should she dictate how this is done when I never had the right to dictate?”
Maddix, meanwhile, stood his ground to show the authentic aspect of her life. “You could say, if you want to be blunt, me walking away from that conversation was a lot more interesting than sitting there and having it (with Sandoval),” she added. “Wasn’t that a better end to your season? Give you another season for another salary?’
Maddix continued, “It hurts a lot because I tried so hard. I feel like it’s our job to live our lives, and I live authentically by moving away from that. I could do it for the show, but I don’t think our show thrives when we’re not being completely real. And it wasn’t real from me.

Kent continued to throw spades on various podcast appearances where she accused Maddix of not pulling her weight. After receiving backlash, Kent only apologized for referring to the fans did not agree with her like mad.
“Filming this season was bittersweet,” Kent said on his “Give Them Lala” podcast that same month. “His experience was – in my opinion – one of the toughest things or tough seasons I’ve ever had. I stopped talking about this season because to be honest, I was seeing things on social (media).”
Kent said it was necessary time for her to accept that her reality is different from public opinion.
“This was the first season in my eight years of doing the show where my reality show and my reality couldn’t coexist. They had to be so separated that if one touched the other, it took me out,” she explained. “So what I want to do right now is focus on the facts. My feelings are not facts. But what I can tell you is that this show is based on perspective. it’s a fact The cast will have perspective. The audience will have perspective.”
Kent concluded, “Because a cast that has an opinion allows us to make a show, and an audience that has an opinion allows us to make a show. The combination of these two things has allowed Vanderpump Rules to be a successful show for the past 11 years. Fact. I want you to know that this show is something I’m extremely grateful for.”
