On Wednesday, December 11, the episode of her “Give Them Lala” podcast.Kent, 34, called out people who criticizes her for referring to of 2-month-old Sosa as her “dream baby,” saying, “People are even taking it so far as to say in the comment sections like, ‘How would you feel if you were Ocean and you saw stuff like this?'” And I’m like, “Why does everyone make something out of nothing?”
Kent noted that he considered Ocean, 3 yrs. her “golden child”.
“She’s my golden child because No. 1 what we’ve been through,” she added, speaking of her messy split with ex-fiancé Randall Emmett. “But she is the child who made me a mother. It’s so spicy and so sweet at the same time.”
Over the years, Lala Kent has made headlines for her personal and professional life — which she captured on Vanderpump Rules. While clarifying his comments, Kent stood by her description from Sosa.
“She’s the dream baby because she wasn’t the product of just two people falling in love and having a baby or a one-night stand,” she continued. “She was my dream baby because I thought about her so much and thought, ‘How am I going to make this happen?’ I really want a baby myself, but how do I do it?”

After her high-profile breakup with Emmett, Kent expressed interest to have more children by herself. She subsequently documented her pregnancy journey after deciding to undergo intrauterine insemination (IUI).
“I won’t even try to do it differently. I don’t want another person involved,” Kent said about considering a sperm donor during a November 2022 episode of the “Scheananigans” podcast. “There’s such a big chance it won’t work out, especially where we live. I’m not taking any chances. I’m so scared of everything that’s happened in my life.”

Kent announced her pregnancy earlier this year and welcomes daughter Sosa in September.
“Really though, Ocean is absolutely obsessed with Sosa,” Kent wrote on Instagram at the time. “It was love at first sight. We’re excited about the newest addition to our capsule. I can’t wait to share all the moments of this new chapter and blessing in our lives. I enjoyed every second of it. A lot of face to skin, a lot of bobby time, a lot of staring and thanking God.”
In Wednesday’s episode, Kent he was trying not to allow the backlash for the descriptors get to it.
“She has arrived and is healthy and happy. The structure I created is like, ‘Wow, I had dreams at this point of growing my family on my own, and we did,'” she noted. “So I don’t know how we got that term because I had to discipline Ocean. After all the comments, I feel like I’m not a good parent right now.’
